Hello-

I'll be coming into Baltimore this weekend to spin CDs from my extreme
planetary music collection. The even will be Sunday night at 9 pm, at TrueVine Records, 1123 W. 36th St. in Hampden. Tel: 410-235-4500, or you cancontact me by cellphone at 646-408-4962.

Please come out to hear my stuff...

Marc

DJ Poodlecannon (Marc Nasdor)

Since returning from a fateful trip to Bulgaria just prior to 9/11,
Marc Nasdor has been working diligently to build a collection of
extreme world party music that is a welcome antidote to the middling
Starbucks/Putomayo brand of "world music." His set spans a broad swath
of musics, ranging from Brazilian psychedelia to Bollywood disco,
Mexican cumbia-rap, Balkan beat box, mystical Algerian shaman drumming,
festive French and Italian Roma and full-on gypsy punk, Greek
Rembetica, Bulgarian wedding music, Ethiopian funk, etc. etc. It is a
selection guaranteed to move the heart and the feet.

A native of Baltimore, Nasdor has been living in New York City for the
past two decades, but still considers Hampden alone to harbor more
creativity than the East Village and Williamsburgh combined.
