Shards of glass Grinding Nausea inducing Bent over stumble
Dull deep ache Continual, persistent Muscle all connected Sleep, relief
Throbbing, between glass and ache Always throbbing And that’s with the Percocet

Hi Dannen
A truthful poem mirroring the sufferer's experiences. Hope you feel better soon.

There are drugs, and there are real drugs, Dannen. My chemist heros(scientists) work their butts off to lessen the agony of pain. Women have greater pain thresholds, I met elderly ladies who endured knee replacements without pain medications, walking about the day after, gardening within a few weeks. absolutely no pain! Men, however, this is seldom the case. Morphines are the gifts from otherworldly gods, hard liquor is a menace. NO PAIN IS GAIN

I agree that women can take some pains better than men. I'm afraid of alcohol and morphines, but I might make an exception after my post op visit on Wed. I've never experienced anything like this before. Don't want to do it again either.

nope ... taking advantage of the percoset affects and kicking the caffeine habit. mostly by choice, partly because it wasn't within reach. Hubby would have delivered, but this has been a goal of mine for years.

Thank you, I am definitely on the mend. My appetite is back, so those lost 20 pounds will find their way home soon enough.
