I'm an anchovy and roasted pepper guy myself but knowing peoples predisposition against the salty little f'ers I will compromise for the sake of the group but shrimp(?) Maybe we ought to think about individual pizzas.

it's a good combo! but, individual pizzas are ok with me- that way, i get exactly what i want - which, after all, is what i wanted anyway.

Be careful, with an attitude like that the soldiers and students might rise against you.

no emel- i had not studied cyborgs- but thanx for explaining
you change the world by changing yrself? that's the reagan, "conservative" so called theory- well-
it has a lot of merit
BUT- AS IN 1776, 1789, 1878 and 1917- mass movements have also made great strides- individuals acting in concert at just the right moment
i think probably much more has occurred in change by group than by individual effort
i'd like to know how r yr kids doing?
i wish u the best- u r a witty contrarian
(but u need to get w the program- lol)

You've made my point for me, Dave  "I don't see it"  Spend a week imagining what you would have to change in your attitude toward things to see everything that happens as normal. Babies dying, war, disease, even the destruction of the planet...all normal.

I mean if you were to observe a classroom or a boot-camp where students were being challenged to learn and soldiers were being taught how to survive would everything be peaches and light, would you strive to remove all obstacles so everyone succeeded at the same level all the time and there was no failure, no distinction between the best and the worst? Or would you say these failures and struggles I'm witnessing are necessary for the maturation and growth of each individual...and ultimately for their survival and quality of life.

[snip]

The X factor of course, is death but once you reconcile death the rest comes pretty easy.

This is the smartest thing I've ever heard you say, Dave.  No one needs change a thing about their behavior, not the greenies, the vegans, the peaceniks, imperialists, etc. etc. except change the expectation/attachment to acheiving some some permanent result.

Do your damnedest then let it go... Smiley
