Infinity’s Kitchen Releases New Volume of Literary ExperimentsInfinity’s Kitchen, a small literary journal, announces the release of a fifth volume. With more than 100 pages, this is the largest volume published by the journal, since its founding in 2009. The journal specializes in the publication of experimental styles of literary writing, such as concrete poetry, asemic writing and antonymic translation. It features work by two Baltimore writers, Tim Paggi and Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez.
Paggi’s poem, “Baltinoctis” is a challenging poem. In a very direct tone, it uses a narrative format to convey its human, positive themes. It relies on a series of layered images, many of which are descriptive of Baltimore. The poem, although printed in Infinity’s Kitchen is ideally meant to be read aloud, and was recently performed at the WORMS reading series at Baltimore’s Metro Gallery. Tim Paggi is a poet, playwright, performer, and a member of Baltimore Annex Theater who holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from Goucher College.
Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez’s “The Rockisms” is a collaboratively written text, derived from the popular, "Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?" catchphrase from professional wrestler and actor, The Rock. To create a lengthy text, collaborators were invited to add to a web page with the query, "Can you _____ what The Rock is ______" by filling in the blanks. Alvarez is an internationally exhibited visual artist, writer, and musician who is a member of the Wham City artist collective, and a resident of The Floristree, a DIY art space.
Infinity's Kitchen is an independent publication of experimental writing and art. The new issue, which is available for purchase online at
