Give us pure cotton
Though leave the sweats
The droplets with your pencils
Travelers come from afar
To hear those words
For scents there are gardens

one must be neatly attired. suit and tie should be mandatory for readings and other poetry events. after all, we are not bohemians.

If yer' can't make a better presentation in all areas, especially when you have the means, then don't invite me. save yer' attire for the cattle crossing in South Beach.  Use yer' proceeds($$$) n' buy sum clothes, cut yer' hair! Be Right....n' dish out sum Damn drinks, or, sumptim'. Freaking' venues of tightwads. Don't come to a reading lookin' like yer' just got outta bed n' invite the soup kitchen in next time, pull up a chair for them, ask them to read their memorized poems.
