Refreshments, (at the Barnes and Noble cafe)
THE FIRST- a historical (hysterical), precocious (pernicious?)
TOWN & GOWN POETRY READING  (smackdown?)  at the Barnes and Noble at 33rd and St. Paul, at 7PM, Thursday, Feb. 25th
representing (and in this corner) - Johns Hopkins U: Anne Marie Thompson, Mela Kirkpatrick, Gregg Mosson, Chris George (he lives across the street)
Loyola: Ned Balbo, Jane Satterfield,
Charles Village: Clarinda Harris, Dave Bergman, Reginald Harris, Dave Eberhardt

Yep, it's the replacement for the college bookstore that used to be in Gilman Hall on campus.  JHU is spreading out, taking over Charles Village, and the rest of Baltimore.  All we need is for Tom Cruise to star and it could be another War of the Worlds.  Head for the hills.....!!!!

Windy last night but no other probs.  Glad to see we were able to assemble all the featured poets.  The evening was entertaining and colorful.  A memorable evening.

This was a high point IN MY LIFE (I think)- will try to get some one to review it- I am just too biased- BUT- it went so well- I think it would make a good book- re our neighborhood-i've modified the original post a bit for corrections.
Due to the good advertising we had- we had 50 in attendance.
