I know that some have already voted but this is a reminder that I'm hoping for a few more to take a look at my nomination.
Leo aka Jacob
In the spring of 2004 I brought my toolbox home and put it in the shed knowing that it would begin to collect rust. For the first few weeks I took a seat on the porch at the back of the house thinking that the rest of me would soon be as stiff as my keens had become. I was soon to find that life still had a few surprises for me. While time had taken the swiftness from my step my mind was holding onto 50 year old dreams. Looking at women and capturing their images with my machine seemed to be still within my reach. In the summer of 2004 I set out to find ways to show some of my work and to add to its body. One of the first pieces that I was able to share was a silent movie that I had made at the end of the 1960s. I thought that my little movie would benefit from a voiceover and the effort introduced me to writing poetry. Over the past 6 years I have posted work on the web on a number of sights social networking, photography networks and poetry sharing. In the past 5years I have self-published 5 chapbooks. This year I’m very excited about finding a place where I can show a range of my work. Photographs, videos and some of my poetry can viewed on the Baker Artist Awards sight. www.bakerartistawards.org
I hope that you will find a few minutes to look at my nomination and vote.
