Her mildew-green teeth,
the grand canyon lines
in a face with colorless eyes
told me a tale of trampled dreams,
her fettered hair
with enough grease to lube
the ball joints on my Delta 88
held stories of missed baths
and shivering sleeps.

I saw the earth turn
in her uncomfortably crooked
smile that tried to hide
that she had just arrived from
the cardboard palaces of Loserville,
I wanted to help her pain
with my kindly words, but knew
it would take more than I could say,
so we smiled with gut wrought intensity

for an uncomfortable eternity,
excuse me, have a nice day.

Very descriptive! I like this one much, even though it is very sad.

dino, Amy, mark, edwin.........thank you.....and mark, the song only mentioned flowers in your hair....aah the ingenuity of the typical san franciscan.....guess she wanted to give it her own twist ( get it?...twist)...maybe she was a fortune teller and wanted to read the future to you in your balls....lot's of possibilities, maybe she was one of charlie manson's friends, wow, come to think of it you might have got off easy.
