Greetings

Jim Doss and I are pleased to say that the Summer 2008 issue of Loch Raven Review is now live.

The issue contains: Poetry by Bob Bradshaw, Corey Cook, John Grey, Christopher Hanson, Bernard Henrie, Joseph P. Kenyon, Brian E. Langston, April Lindner, Mathias Nelson, Kenneth Pobo, James Toupin, and Deborah Vatcher. Six poems by German poet Hans Magnus Enzensberger translated by Jim Doss and two poems by Polish poet Lidia Kosk translated by her daughter, Danuta E. Kosk-Kosicka. Non-Fiction by Caryn Coyle. Fiction by Antonia Clark, Michael Henson, and Brian L. Porter. And an essay by Michael Fallon on "Rediscovering Poe: the Mask and the Man."

If you are not aware of it, a new feature for Loch Raven Review that we began in Spring is our Retrospectives series, accessible from the menu bar. First in the series is a selection of poetry by the late Sandford Lyne.

Volume 3 of Loch Raven Review containing all the work we published in our quarterly on-line issues last year is now available in print form. To order the issue, please go to http://www.lulu.com/content/1817826

We continue to be interested in high quality work from all sources.  We do have a special focus on Baltimore area writers as well as top line writing from U.S. and international writers, as you will recognize from our list of contributors.

We are now considering works for the Fall issue, deadline August 31.  Check out our submission deadlines.  We will consider up to ten poems or short prose pieces, which will give you a better chance of acceptance.  Good luck.

Best regards
