Mr Irish, half the movies out there are based on poems. did the mugs pay up? poets need agents, guards, and Luca's when they find a few of their lines borrowed without written consent. I disagree...poetry way up the scale, just needs representation. moore...the poet from Dracula Meets NY?

does poetry need more praise than it already accumulates?

one reads a zillion of these overstated commemorations and wonders, perhaps aloud..."what was he/she/it thinking?" better things to write home about, yer' think? scent of a flower often leads to hay fever.

Dear Mr Poet,
Have you thought about getting a fishing rod n' catching a mercury contaminated catfish? Catch n' release works!Keeps shit from growing on the most unsightly of places.

Sincerely,
Wart Needs Gort

this has great potential

i am not sure it is true- but...i am wondering

is there something that a human can use fr a lobster?

i remember nerval walking his lobster down the beach- a surreal thing

u better get a grip on this poem

at least for my feverish brain?

im thinking she needs a kidney?

u wld make it much more powerful were u to just tell the truth abt it?

why would you now say that given the few changes made?

The 'anxious-borded" puzzled me, Chris. I'm not sure this works, a poem with other more important emotions. Does the hyphen thingy work? Should a comma replace? The other punctuation as well. Punctuation in poetry should carry a heavy torch. Do you concur? What inspired this piece? I have a hard time believing transplants/surgeons/medicines are even located in such an area. Does such a place exist? Help me understand this better.

I know little about that region, never visited, no primary sourcing, had lobster only a handful of times, I like the Blue Crab more, fish in the Maryland waters like no other, understand the sport, and the aquatic world very well. Fishing is based on skill, [/u] and we "hope" one doesn't go bankrupt by not utilizing those skills, fishing in areas depleted, or other. Thanks for the underline info...you know I like your work, presentation like no other. Why else would I be here?, and being the other Limey on this site, with a LONG list of editors in my family history, Me(?) is(sic)impartial to a brother. sheesh! This underlining shit made me blue n' swimming with da' fishes! Hope is an impotent activity, mystical in a sense.

Chris,in the lobster analogy, who would be privy to such information unless one had close connections to that region? thinks out of the box? It's an assumption at best. The metaphor could work if the display were provided with more info. As Bog would luv this: "inadequate investment/effort(editing)prevents a hearty boat."

*"in the democratic sanctity of the fluorescent
lights." this line is my favorite, and, summarizes, I believe, the situation at hand, this topic. I do this for FREE___(how do you underline?), what more does PIB want?

the honesty, bearing of one's soul, is seeping out in these. Like! I've been reading lots of confessional poets last few days (the dead famous ones), and these are refreshing.

no real noticable changes, Chris. don't pencil-whip this baby;instead, make it hurt!If I were a professor, fail everyone. Dylan Thomas revised a famous poem over 160 times with no noticable changes-a MUG! schools would fear me...
