The event is a workshop with a party feel. Everyone gets a chance to snack, mingle, explore the Gallery and read their poetry. Designed by a kid to introduce other kids to discover and write poetry. An adult needs to come too. Especially for kids who might need help writing down their ideas.
Hosted by Sophia Matricciani, an 8 year old student at Arts and Ideas Sudbury School. Sophia felt poetry for kids was absent in the Baltimore area and she came up with this workshop idea. Julie Fisher of www.poetryinbaltimore is a cohost.
$5 per person. 1/2 is a donation to the gallery.
